How
to join Sutton Place
Are you looking for housing
for next semester? Next year? Summer? Now? In order to become a
resident of Sutton Place, the following steps are suggested:
1. Contact the manager to
make sure a room is available for the time period you need. Flexible
leases are possible when rooms are available, although expect to
pay a bit more per month than if you signed a semester or year lease.
2. Visit the house. The manager can arrange to show you around,
or feel free any time to stop by and ring the doorbell. (If you
are not in the area, look at pictures
of the house.)
3. Familiarize yourself with the house
rules and Sutton Place constitution.
4. Turn in an application to the manager.
Preferably send the competed application as a Microsoft Word attachment
via e-mail.
5. The manager or a house member will arrange an interview for you
with several house members, so that both sides can ask and answer
questions and determine together whether Sutton Place would be a
good match for you. (This step can be conducted by e-mail or phone
if necessary.)
6. The manager will contact you about whether Sutton residents feel
they would like to invite you to join the house.
7. Sign a lease and pay a deposit. Rooms cannot be guaranteed unless
a lease is signed and a deposit paid.
