DEFERRED GIVING |
Deferred Giving: A GIFT ANNUITY AN INCOME THAT CAN'T SHRINK OR STALL You can relax, secure in knowing
TAKING CARE OF LOVED ONES If you are providing income for a parent, brother, sister, or other loved one, a gift annuity can be a very good way to fulfill that commitment. For example, if you are now providing financial assistance to a sister or brother, your gifts are not tax-deductible and, in fact, are made from after- tax income. You might consider entering into a gift annuity with the Foundation which would pay income to that person for life. And you would receive a deduction for as much as one-half of the amount used to make the gift. You can also establish a gift annuity for someone else in your will. The annuity becomes effective at your death and the fixed payments begin immediately. SUPPLEMENTING RETIREMENT INCOME With a series of gift annuities you can help reduce your tax bill each year. And each new annuity created at an older age will generally result in a higher payment. If you are just beginning retirement planning and have assets that are not now yielding what you would like to receive, you might consider a deferred payment gift annuity. You make a gift now, enjoy an immediate income tax deduction of a significant portion, and specify a time for your payments to begin. Whatever plan you choose, a gift annuity is a way to increase cash available to you each year, while you enjoy making a meaningful gift which might not otherwise be possible. Your gift becomes available to the Baptist Student Foundation at your death. HOW DOES A GIFT ANNUITY WORK? Assured director to schedule a meeting.
