Qualifications

• Candidates must ascribe to the vision of the Baptist Student Foundation.
• Candidates must be able to provide twenty hours of ministry per week for the BSF.
• Candidates must have completed four years of undergraduate work (see below under "Benefits").

Requirements of Internship

• Meet regularly with a senior BSF staff member.
• Under the direction of senior staff, plan and implement activities that fulfill one's particular ministry focus.
• Give focused and guided attention to one's own spiritual transformation.
• Be in a discipleship relationship with at least two persons on an ongoing basis.

NOTE: Non-internship ministry experiences are also available.

• Depending on circumstances, room and board may be provided as compensation.
• Interns can take classes at Urbana Theological Seminary and receive M. Div. or MAR credit while interning at the BSF.
• The University of Illinois boasts a very strong evangelical Christian community. Both church and para-church campus ministries abound.
• The Baptist Student Foundation has a rich history of evangelical ministry, with the University Baptist Church established in 1912 and the housing ministry in 1949. Ministry opportunities are literally unlimited!
